YES! My sister would agree with you 100% (She's also an amazing artist and I remember you did an art piece that reminds of her a lot) Art is more than just the final piece as you said, the thoughts, emotions and motivation put into the piece is what it's all about. I don't like AI art but understand it's appeal to those who like it but compared to proper art products the were made with full on time and effort is so much more satisfying.
